IT Support Technician

Exciting and varied entry level position for someone with an IT background either from qualifications, or with some exposure in a previous role to general IT systems.
Working with the IT Manager and Senior IT Support Engineer you will provide day to day support of systems, software and hardware while assisting with maintaining effective IT systems.
This is a chance to use your knowledge and expand your skills in a variety of technologies and will suit someone who can set up PCs, troubleshoot a printer, resent passwords, install simple software and general fault fixing.

This is some of what you will be doing
* Technical support and guidance to staff to understand programs, problem solve and generally support them in using software/hardware correctly
* Assisting with the maintenance and fault fixing of all computers and organise where necessary if repairs are required
* Maintaining a stock of parts needed for general computer repairs
* Assisting with maintaining the asset system for any ICT equipment.
* Assisting with maintaining the integrity of software, virus removal, and software reinstallation when required.
* Ensuring continued operation of the networks, setting up new accounts, maintain password integrity, and assist suers access network resources
* Set up and maintain new computers in accordance with Standard Network Build

You will be very interested in all things IT, technically minded and able to use a variety of systems and software – internet browsers, Office 365, laptops and printers. You can take a PC out of a box, set it up on desk and install software. You can do basic troubleshooting, understand a bit about security and password protection.
Personality is key – you must be keen to learn, and be highly personable as you will be dealing with a variety of users, some of which are not technically minded

The work covers a few sites, so a full UK driving licence is essential
